Music: Farrow / Cubicolor / Artificial Intelligence…
A lot of music this week or perhaps too much for one post, I was going to space the tracks out but what the hell more music the better right ? I came across this one while checking something else out and damn, just totally been missing something here. The sound of Farrow was like a secret being kept from me, why I had not heard his stuff before beats me and I had to look further… I’m not much for the original or Apres remix of this, but this version is just sublime in my opinion and is bound to be more popular in the future once it gets out there…
I go on this one and it seemed I had already given it the thumbs up on YouTube like a month ago ? I must be loosing my mind or something… 😀
Another one I quite like, I was looking for a track called “For You” but it does not seem to be on youtube or soundcloud but I know it’s out there somewhere…
Other tracks to mention ——————————————————
Left To Waste (Farrow Remix) – Fuchse Ft. Patrice & Humphrey Sitima
Suit & Tie (Farrow Remix) – Justin Timberlake
For You – Farrow
In Your Arms (Sunset Dub) – Farrow
In Your Arms (Origninal Mix) – Farrow
These Games – Farrow
Somebody (Farrow Remix) – French Soler
I Can’t Stand It (Farrow Remix) – LongPlay, Xavier
So what else this week:
A music video this time from Total Giovanni with the track “Can’t Control My Love” is a very nice retro throwback in both sound and video production which I think has been pulled off very well. I swear music videos can be very hit and miss but I approve of this one and hope it does well.
This track is amazing, the diversion of 16 bit lolitas over to Cubicolor has not caused any loss to their production quality and this is by far my favorite from the new Magnum EP.
Anything with Steo featured in usually gets my approval as does this new EP from Artificial Intelligence. Forgotten Truths, What You Had (Lenzman Remix) and Soul are all amazing tunes worth checking out 😀
George Fitzgerald is going to be bigger than ever this year with his album release “Fading Love” which will reveal itself on April 27th, so expect me to probably do a feature for that on here of course.
One artist that I always feature now and again is Seba. Another fine track under secret operations is “Inside Yourself” which is just sounds nuts, crossing over a kind of techno vibe with his classic style of Dnb. Well and truly a track for those gloomy room 2 sessions at Fabric. I cannot help but play this track loud which is probably annoying the neighbours in the street (nothing new there).
This track is exactly a year old today, and I totally missed it first time round. I randomly heard it on Radio 1 Saturday morning so I thought it should defo go in the list for this week. Alex Adair an upcoming UK producer with a lot of promise coming from this track.
No rework can ever top the original Stardust creation and it’s easily one of my all time favorite songs from the old mainstream. All those nights out at pub discos and clubs this track was about as good as you could get away without annoying people who want to listen to one direction or whatever all night… It’s a far cry from the original but I love the synth buildup and all the keys 2 minutes in, very cool !
One last track is this slow beat from SG Lewis, and in all it’s simplicity of that grand piano sound working so well with the vocals It’s probably the right kind of tune to end this wave of songs so I hoped you liked them… and yes I’m still listening to Drake’s new album a lot 😀
